Utilis provides data driven solutions for utilities, government authority and the commercial infrastructure industry. Utilis uses satellite radar data to detect wet ground. The satellite radar signals illuminate the area of interest and the reflected signal is bounced back and collected by the satellite. These images can be processed to omit the noise, and to separate out the specific signs of drinking water underground.

Utilis SAR Analytics solutions provide sub-surface ground saturation mapping at very high spatial resolution and are currently being promoted and sold into two main vertical markets: WATE...

This technology has been successfully used by Utilis since 2016 to detect leaking potable water underground for utilities. Leveraging the knowledge and tools for success that Utilis has built up since its founding, Utilis has established intellectual property for an expansion of its product offerings while still focusing on its core mission. These new algorithms are used to monitor railways, roadways and parking lots for subsurface water that is causing the surface to fail, resulting in damage, sinkholes and landslides. This approach identifies areas likely to fail for proactive remediation of the situation.

Utilis developed a unique technology to identify and locate sub-surface water of different types and origins. This innovative discovery has the potential to improve the field of infrastructure assessment in multiple vertical markets.

Potable water

Use as an input to a condition assessment program or to increase the efficiency or underground pipe leak detection program by over 300%.

Wastewater

Monitor all assets in a network to detect spillage, flooding, and sinkholes to prevent contamination.

Roadways, railways

Detect ground saturation to prevent landslides and monitor roadways.

Property management

Detect water that is pooling beneath the surface of pavement for commercial and municipal property owners.
